WizCal’s Privacy Policy

Protecting your privacy is really important to us here at WizCal Inc. We provide this Privacy Policy to explain our policies and procedures for the collection, use and disclosure of information received from users of our website WizCal.me (the "Site"), WizCal Inc. software as a service (“backend”) and the software downloaded from the Site ("Software") (collectively the "Services").

  • This Privacy Policy applies only to the Services and is incorporated into the WizCal Terms of Service Agreement.
  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the Site. Please consult the Site regularly for changes. Unless otherwise defined in this policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the meanings provided in the WizCal Terms of Service Agreement.
  • By using our Services, you are consenting to WizCal processing your information as described in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. These uses include the collection, storage and deletion, disclosure and transfer of your information to and from the United States to provide you with the Services you have requested.

Information We Collect

The primary purpose for collecting information is to deliver our services and improve our service and features, administer user accounts and enable users to enjoy our services.

Account

If you create an Account, we’ll collect certain information that can be used to identify you, such as your name, email address and phone number (“PII”). If you create an Account using your login credentials from one of your Third Party Accounts, we’ll be able to access and collect your name and email address and other PII that your privacy settings on the Third Party Account permit us to access. If you create an Account through the Site or one of your Third Party Accounts, we may also collect your zip code and other information that is not considered PII because it cannot be used by itself to identify you. We don’t receive or store passwords for any of your Third Party Accounts.

If you sign in using your Organization's credentials, then we save your username and password in the WizCal Service. These credentials are used to access calendar information.

Cookies

Like many websites, we use “cookies” to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer’s hard disk for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies for two purposes. First, we utilize persistent cookies to save your registration account user name and password for future logins to the Services. Second, we utilize session ID cookies to enable certain features of the Services, to better understand how you interact with the Services, and to monitor aggregate usage of the Services by Participants and web traffic routing on the Site. Unlike persistent cookies, session cookies are deleted from your computer when you disconnect from the Services. Third party advertisers on the Site may also place or read cookies on your browser. You can instruct your browser, by editing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all portions of the Site or all functionality of the Services. Web Beacons

"Web Beacons” (also known as clear gifs or) are tiny graphics with a unique identifier that may be included on our Services for several purposes, including to deliver or communicate with Cookies, to track and measure the performance of our Services, to monitor how many visitors view our Services, and to monitor the effectiveness of our advertising. Unlike Cookies, which are stored on the user’s hard drive, Web Beacons are typically embedded invisibly on web pages (or in an e-mail).

Data Collection Related to Use of Services

Our servers automatically record certain information about how a person uses our Services (we refer to this information as “Log Data”), including both Account holders and non-Account holders (either, a “User”). Log Data may include information such as a User’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, the web page that a User was visiting before accessing our Services, the pages or features of our Services to which a User browsed and the time spent on those pages or features, search terms, the links on our Services that a User clicked on and other statistics. We use this information to administer the Services and we analyze (and may engage third parties to analyze) this information to improve and enhance the Services by expanding their features and functionality and tailoring them to our Users’ needs and preferences. We also use the IP Address to generate aggregate, non-identifying information about how our Services are used.

WizCal accesses availability (includes time zone, working hours etc.) information for resources (like rooms) and all participants in your meetings. If you have not attached your calendar to the WizCal service, then this information will be accessed from your client (only supported for Outlook) and used by WizCal service. If you have attached your calendar by giving WizCal authorization via OAuth or by giving WizCal your credentials, then WizCal will access this information from its service. WizCal collects and stores in an encrypted form some statistics and data about meetings from your calendar, e.g. time of meeting, conference room, meeting time zones, and attendees etc. WizCal does not store, meeting subject, description, and attachments for meetings from your calendar. However, in the case when you share a meeting link with your participant using WizCal (for example when scheduling with people external to your organization), WizCal will store some metadata about the meeting, like subject and list of participants to support this feature.

Location Information

In some cases, we collect and store information about where you are located, such as by converting your IP address into a rough geolocation. We may use location information to improve and personalize our Services for you.

Information Shared with Third Parties

We will not share any PII that we have collected from you except as described below:

Shared as a result of using WizCal

You can use the WizCal Services to set up meeting with third parties. WizCal is primarily a scheduling service and it helps you find the most appropriate time to schedule a meeting which it will schedule on your behalf. WizCal service doesn’t share any meeting specific information, this information is managed by your calendar service such as Office 365, Exchange or Google.

For meetings in which you are a participant, WizCal will provide suggestions based on your free/busy information to the organizer.

Shared with Our Services Providers

We may engage third party service providers to work with us to administer and provide the Services. These third-party services providers have access to your PII only for the purpose of performing services on our behalf.

Shared with Third Parties

We may share aggregated information and non-identifying information with third parties for industry research and analysis, demographic profiling and other similar purposes.

Disclosed in Connection with Business Transactions

Information that we collect from our users, including PII, is considered to be a business asset. As a result, if we go out of business or enter bankruptcy or if we are acquired as a result of a transaction such as a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your PII may be disclosed or transferred to the third-party acquirer in connection with the transaction.

Disclosed for Our Protection and the Protection of Others

We cooperate with government and law enforcement officials or private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We may disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate: (i) to respond to claims, legal process (including subpoenas); (ii) to protect our property, rights and safety and the property, rights and safety of a third party or the public in general; and (iii) to stop any activity that we consider illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity.

Information We Disclose with Your Consent or at Your Request

We will share your PII with third-party sites or platforms, such as social networking sites, if you have expressly requested that we do so.

Exclusions:

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any Personal Data collected by WizCal other than Personal Data collected through the Services. This Privacy Policy shall not apply to any unsolicited information you provide to WizCal through the Services or through any other means. This includes, but is not limited to, information posted to any public areas of the Services, such as forums, any ideas for new products or modifications to existing products, and other unsolicited submissions (collectively, “Unsolicited Information”). All Unsolicited Information shall be deemed to be non-confidential and WizCal shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, and distribute such Unsolicited Information to others without limitation or attribution.

Links to Other Web Sites:

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Services. The Services may contain links to other web sites not operated or controlled by WizCal (the “Third Party Sites”). The policies and procedures we described here do not apply to the Third Party Sites. The links from the Services do not imply that WizCal endorses or has reviewed the Third Party Sites. We suggest contacting those sites directly for information on their privacy policies.

Our Policy Towards Children

This Site is not directed to children under 18. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with Personal Information without their consent, he or she should contact us at info@wizcal.me. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our files.

Modifying Your Information

You can access and modify the PII associated with your Account by contacting us at info@wizcal.me. Please note that if you signed up using Third Party Account, you may have to access and modify the PII associated with your Third Party Account in order to modify certain of the PII associated with your Account. If you want us to delete your PII and your Account, please contact us at info@wizcal.me with your request. We’ll take steps to delete your information as soon as is practicable, but some information may remain in archived/backup copies for our records or as otherwise required by law.
